Subject: Power of Voice

After creating the majority of the combine dialog, I feel that my voice as the combine overwatch, will be one of the mod's biggest strong points upon it's release. I don't want to make myself sound self-centered, but there's alot of truth to such a claim. Not only did I get the vocoder effects to almost perfectly match those of valve's technology, but it will truly give players a powerful sensation of actually operating amongst the transparent, and elusive antagonist of the game on which the mod's based.

It still worries me that the rest of the modding team hasn't tightly grasped the nature of the transhuman overwatch. Not only am I going to need to provide a voice for the overwatch, But I will also need to provide a voice for the team itself. I expect alot of good things from this mod, and want to assure its redeeming success. As part of the team, this is now acheivable.

Subject: Act Threeve

Since the computer has been infected with the malaware known as "AntiVirus System Pro" there has been a long delay in finishing the voices for act 3, and seemed like it was to drift away from my priority list. Thankfully the ol' Saint Nick was courteous enough to bring me a laptop for the holidays so I can finish what I started. Act 3 is now completed yet the voice for King-4 remains unattended to.

I'm not entirely sure if Phillip from his self proclaimed website is willing to voice King-4, let alone if he's even fit for the job. In fact, I'm not entirely sure if he is part of the team, for I don't see him on the member's list, unless if he's under some alias that I've been unaware of. The only reason I believe Phillip to be unfitting for King-4 would be because out of all the impersonations I've heard, not one of them came close to the actual thing. Chances are because no one used the Sonic Foundry Batch Converter Blade has mentioned before, ironically because I don't either. I'd like to hear an example of a combine voice through that software one day.

Speaking of software, all the software I had on my desktop PC has become inoperable because the registry data is not recoverable. Most of the useful software I could only receive off of special deals from http://giveawayoftheday.com , which have very slim chances of repeating. By what right do these people have to tamper with another's own digital workspace? Anyone who claims that just because they can should be hurled out of a plane, and be forced to land ass first on the spire of the Winchester Cathedral.

Subject: All finished

So all the dialog assigned for CD2 has been completed, at least until Blade spots a void that needs to be filled. And even if he doesn't, I'll be providing the voice for the dialog that was supposed to be in CD1. This hints a re-make in the future, but I'm going to hold off on that until it has been made clear that everyone on the team is even agreeing with their thoughts on remaking it, let alone if we can all draw enough endurance to work on it after the long ongoing road with CD2.

But that's just looking at it one way. Maybe the success of CD2 will fuel us with enough motivation to remake the 1st one with all the sexy features and maybe add on some new ones as well. One big feature for me would be the combine demonstrating the capability to handle themselves, and not fall to the average joe that probably hasn't used a gun before, I.E. 90% of all humans seen in HL2.

It's understandable that a combine soldier is dehumanized enough to not care much for getting shot, but that doesn't mean it makes for a good gameplay mechanic. If they're going to run away from grenades and anltionguards, then they're going to fear bullets the same way. So hopefully, the mappers of CD2 know how to make a fight advantageous for the combine, not by increasing their health, or quantity of men, but by manipulating their tactics to outsmart their targets, and for once actually landing some shots on who they're supposed to kill without wasting a whole clip first.
